hex edit

i need a simple to use hex editor for my 1st edit. iv seen plenty arround they just look a lil complex.. so many options. can u guys recomend an easy to use editor for a virgin ... :]

i downloaded winhex the other day. i don't know how other's are, but i like this one.

XVI 32 is an excellent hex editor for Windows systems that I use all the time. It's got huge capacity for loading files, complex search/replace options and lots of other features. I've used it hundreds of times just to convert text files from Unix to Windows and vice versa, because the two systems use different line breaks.

Sounds to me that you really are doing it the hard way... Why don't you get an editor which could read both type of files and do the converting by a single click? I'd suggest NoteTab Light/Pro, www.notetab.com . I use it almost daily and it has got a huge bunch of other nice options also.

I agree, hex workshop is by far the best, I think I got it off google sometime.

UltraEdit and HEXEdit. Hex editing is hex editing is hex editing. You don't really need some fancy Hex-a-tron 3000. These two babies give you everything you need.
