i have an eight wire cable thats cut in half and ready to be spliced as a cross over cable, i just need to know which colors represent which wire to make it a cross over, please help......thanks

it shows how to make a crossover and a standard straight through.
For ethernet/10BaseT:
On one end you use 1,2,3, and 6. (colors don't matter if you aren't trying to be perfect or follow wiring standards)
On the other end, use 3 and 6 in the first and second position, so that you have 3,6,1,2 in place of 1,2,3,6.
For a T1 it's 1,2,4, and 5 with 4,5,1, and 2 on the other end.

you really should look at a search engine/old threads before posting a new thread.
