Carefull where your fingers are when manually checking (ie: touching) the temperature of an athlon 1800's heatsink...: those fan spin might fast... :( :bawling:
(lucky for me it was just a standard amd box fan... I could have lost the whole finger had it been one of those giant orbs!

I think my fan could be bodged, when I opened my box to put a cd writer in, you could stick your finger in and it would just stop straight away... nice and quiet =)
Same thing happened to my fan when I put my new hard drive in. I was goofing around and I stuck my finger in and I stopped the fan effortlessly.Quote:
