Calling All Chemists & Chemistry Students
Absolutely nothing to do with computer security, but since a lot of the people here are students, I decided this might be of relevance to some of you.
With my father being a Chemistry lecturer, I get [a] very annoyed that he always thinks he knows everything and can teach chemistry better than my lecturers, and [b] learn of anything that could be useful for chemistry.
On that note, there is a very good, FREE program called ISIS/Draw. It's a molecular drawing tool with which you can create symbols, reactions, molecules, ions, etc. It has a naming tool for organic chemicals, and in my opinion, works rather well to say that its free. (I was drawing DNA in it last night... it has templates for ribose, deoxyribose, phosphate, adenine, thymine, guanine, cytosine etc. It also has templates for amino acids, carbonyls, and loads of other stuff I can't remember.
Anyway it can be downloaded from http://www.mdli.com
Hope some of you find this remotely useful!
(And no, its nothing to do with me, I'm not advertising it, I'm just recommending it as useful for anyone who has to do anything chemistry-related)
Re: Calling All Chemists & Chemistry Students
