Poem: Would I Lie To You?
I'm not the person you think I am,
I'm really me, I'm true.
Take me at face value, Trust the first you know.
Ignore my strange behaviour, Ignore my unusual twists.
Take me as you know me, Take me as I am.
Believe me when I say I am, Believe me when I say I'm not.
Believe the words I say to you,
For I always state the truth.
Ask a simple question,
And you shall get an answer.
Make things difficult, and difficulty will overcome you,
Proving harder to break free from, harder to correct.
The truth is that I am me,
I am not what you think I may be.
I am not.
The question you should ask yourself,
Is what difference would it make?
I would still be the same person,
But I'm not that anyway.
I am as you have always known me.
Believe me, for it is true.
The question you should ask yourself,
Is would I lie to you?
