Very Strange Voices

Hi everyone :cool:

Right here is the situation : As my computer is in the middle of the house (hallway, don't ask why) I don not have sounds turned on very much. I downloaded a couple of mp3's one day and wanted to listen to them before burning them to a cd. So I plug my headphones in and I can hear voices a man speaks, I'm not sure what he said then, very clearly he says "****!" Then the voices stoped. How is this happening, is there some kind of trojan or something that can make you talk out of the victim's speakers? I've never heard of one myself, but anyways. If it was a trojan causing this, I don't know how it got there coz I run all the usual firewalls/antivirus stuff.

Any explaination would be nice :) Thanks

Try using a trojan searching program, however I don't think that's the case...

Did you have any websites up?
Or even some pop-up ads that we're minimized?
Or Kazaa running?

I had something similar happen to me, but it was a pop-up ad talking...

Do you use a modem to connect to the Internet? If so, do you also have it set-up to 'auto-answer' on incoming calls?

Yeah, one time I had Kazaa minimized and kept hearing a female voice while one of my songs was playing.....It turned out to be a virtual Cameron Diaz on the front screen of the Kazaa application, talking about some sort of ecological awareness or whatever. It really creeped me out though, not knowing what it was.

K, when your computer starts cussing at you, it's time to turn it off... I think you were hallucinating (sp), bro. ;)

Thanks GreekGoddess, 'spose that might of been it but I wouldn't of thought they would have said "sh*t" on the front page of kazaa, although I might be wrong... anyone know if they use swear words on the front page of kazaa like that?

I can hear people talking on my phone, through my computer all the time. I bet thats what it was. Check to see if one of your line ins or something or speakerphone volume is up. It was prolly a roomate or someone in the house on the phone. If you don't live with anyone then i suggest you call a priest and start hoarding holy water. Its gunna be a long nite for you.

No, it didn't say "****"....
It spoke about the problems with some eco system or some sorts, don't remember much since it was about a month ago or so...

Do you remember anything else of what the guy said?

It could have been a porn pop-up ad, minimized and talking...?
