Wierd cookie thing
I'm using WinXP Pro with Mozilla as my browser. Just today, I formatted and reinstalled both XP and Mozilla. I logged on to the net and typed antionline.com in Mozilla and guess what? I'm still logged in to AO! Hmm... I wonder how that happened? Any suggestions?

Wow... that is odd. Umm, you sure you formatted right? Did you have anything backed up on cd-r that you put back on the computer after you formatted?
-
Nope. Formatted and reinstalled everything. I had this happen yesterday as well and this time I formatted just to make sure.

Maybe it has something to do with your static ip and computer name?

only thing i can think of...
i don't know what ao is using or if it's possible with php but in coldfusion (cfM) you can set server variables which can be stored in a db or the registry. i use a db on my site to track client preferences rather than cookies...that way clients get what they want no matter what system they are logging in from...however...my set up requires you to login before any preferences are applied...
that said...there's no reason you couldn't set it up to check ip's and query them against a db.... altho that would be a bit strange...but then your problem is a bit strange too...;)
any ideas jp???

IP tracking is not possible in this case as I'm on dial-up.

hey cgkanchi,
when you logged on to the net and typed antionline.com in Mozilla you were still logged in to AO.
Does this happen to other site when you log to the net? and also is it only with AO you,ve experienced this stuff?
Bingo!!

Dunno. But AO's the only site with saved login info for me. So I can't really try that out.
