I bought a new minidisk player, under the assuption that i can share music with my friends, but the player inputs copyright protection so that a minidisk cannot be copied, is there anyone that knows how to bypass this?
any help would be greatly appreciated,

I don't know why you would have gotten a minidisk player. IMO a CD/MP3 player is much better. Less money and you can play both CDs you have bought or made... anyway...
I think more info would be good for us to begin...
Which minidisk player did you get? Make and model would be good info for us to start with.
Any other info on said copy protection...
