On the left hand side of the main menu, click on Edit Your Avatar under the Member Functions.
I think in order to use a custom Avatar, you need a certain amount of posts or APs...
I don't remember... its in the FAQ.
Yes, you have to have a certain number of AP's to have a custom avatar. Check the FAQ for more information.
For a custom avatar, you don't need any specific amount of AP's, the only thing you need is 10 posts under your belt. You can be on negative antipoints and still upload and use a custom avatar.
