Hacked Road Sign

So I was on my way to work this morning and saw an electronnic road sign just before the Massachusetts Avenue (a long street in boston) bridge. They've been doing construction on the bridge recently, so the fact that the sign was there was not what caught my attention.

The sign flashed "MASS AV SNG LN"
Then: "WANK IT"

I called up the Metropolitan District Commission (fairly equal to the highway dept.) and was told that "it happens all the time" and "thank you for your call."

hmmm...

thats funny, i can just picture it:)

UPDATE- 3/19/03
Today the sign read: "ASS AVE UNDER CONST"
Then: "PLEASE STAY TO RIGHT"

LOL, was that second one an error or was it hacked? That was great thanks for the laugh!

There was a sign a local pool that for years had been so worn it read:

"Please sho er befor enter'n the poo"
