linux...
ok, so im thinking about installing linux on a new harddrive on my comp. is there visual basic for linux that i could d/l or would i have to mount to my other harddrive and access it. and if i get another hard drive can i even access the other in my linux one. thnks!

First answer: http://sourceforge.net/projects/vb4linux/
maybe this one also http://www.linuxuser.co.uk/articles/...sual_Basic.pdf
Those might help a little.
The second answer is a little more complicated. When you say access do you mean to access the files on a drive? Use Samba. You can also remote control the windows box from the linux box using RealVNC.
Does that work for you?

thanks for the info KorpDeath! i will definatly download samba but i dont get the remote control for windows thing. does that mean i can control windows while in linux?

Yes, and vice versa. It's the equivalent of PCAnywhere. VNC, although unencrypted, is a very nice remote control program, and the best part of it is that it's free.
I can't think of the name of the encryption program but it's hosted on linux. It acts as a gateway for secure communication.
