How about just downloading an iso and burning it yourself?
I want the CD-Roms I dont want to burn them my self.
But where do i download them from ? (Just to know)
Cheers
It depends on what distro you want. Just check their website. There are usually links to download sections on the mainpage.
Goto http://www.linux.org/ and follow the links through the distribution section
I was thinking of putting all the linux isos onto DVD and making them available for a small fee to cover the postage and packaging.
Does anyone think this would be usefull.
Does anyone know of any legal concerns for doing the same.
mark, could be a good idea..
could you do a openBSD freeBSD netBSD dvd for me ??
Jinx. No Problem.
I have t1 here so download isn't a problem.
Got urls for downloads ?
OpenBSD 3.3
select one here: http://www.openbsd.org/ftp.html
FreeBSD 5.0
select one here: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO...rrors-ftp.html
NetBSD 1.6.1
select one here: http://www.netbsd.org/mirrors/#ftp
then I can finaly check wich BSD is the one for me ;)
if you want I can dig up direct links to the iso's..
thanks in advance, and we'll pm about cost etc..
Mark.. that actually sounds like a top idea... I'd be interested if you get a DVD together (and if you do could you let us all know in the forums etc). If you're interested one the the UK mags PC Utilities did something similar not long ago... they had (I think) 6 different flavours of linux and not ones you'd necessarily epect either (i.e. RH and mandrake) ...debian and slackware were in there i think as well as some more obscure variants... e.g. vector, peanut etc... don't think there would be a problem with you doing this... like I say let us know if you carry out your idea....
