Is it a virus?
Hi All,
Recently strange things starts happening on my PC.
Oh! I didn't tell you that I've a PC with win 2k and win98 on it.
So, what happened, two weeks ago one of my friend came to my house
and brought a floppy. He'd worked in win98 and went.
After a day or two I noticed that I've two files named 'desktop' and 'folder.htt'
in all my folders. If I create a new folder these files automatically present there.
I've tried to delete all such files several time from the machine but it's useless.
And yesterday when I opened my explorer it gave me error on every click, saying
something like, 'error in script folder.htt'
Can any one tell me what is going on. Is it a virus. If it is what vorus is it and how can
I remove it.
Thanks and Regards

while you are at it, you might want to get an updated antivirus... I know.. this has been said before but... http://www.grisoft.com get avg. its free and it works great. I have seen it work better then norton and mccafee on occassion. And like i said, its free.

Thanks Souleman,
For your valuable information about free antivirus.
But I'm really surprised, how can these person provide
free antivirus and keep updating it without any revenue.
Means what about that saying,
'There's nothing like free lunch.'

Darknite they have corporate versions that they sell, so they do have quite a bit of revenue coming in. They provide the home version for no charge. It works like a charm, I use it as well. It would be a good idea to go ahead and download it...then you probably wouldn't be having to have this conversation at all cause it would have caught the virus ;)

I liked Innocolate It! When it was free :( I didn't think there was such thing as a free AV scanner anymore. Thanks for the link Souleman.
