Arrrgh!

Hi everyone,

I realise it's probably a dumb question, but I'm busy arguing with my machine... it refuses to install VS6.

Whenever I try, it tells me 'Setup cannot create a DCOM user account for c:\[cant remember the path]\valent.exe' and then simply exits from the intallation procedure. The CD has worked fine on other machines...

I'm on a pretty clean install of Win2K, on an AMD machine. The login has full admin access.

Any clue? I'm hoping someone knows something offhand cos I really don't feel like wading through the sucky MS online help systems :\

Install only the core VB6.

Tony Bradley and I reckon its the deployment wizard that causes the error but the core vb6 install works fine.
