My Compaq Laptop trouble...

Hi all, I'm having some trouble with my Compaq Laptop.... the problem is my LCD screen not responding even I connect it to my CRT monitor.... I dont know why?

Pls help me..... I have a lot of assignment have to do....

maby your video card is bad. you should have that looked at.

My friend had that same thing happen to his laptop (don't remembe the model, it is about three years old now). It started with the LCD screen bein very tricky, like it had to be in the right spot or it wouldn't work. Then it just went out all together and the external monitor port would not work. he sent it in and got it worked on, I think it was nder $200 though because his laptop was out of warrenty. There really isn't much you can do about it, you have to have a tech look at it or someone who knows about that stuff.

Card and connector to the LCD screen is what was replaced by Compaq.

Thanks, izzit RAM can cause that trouble occur also? Because I can't hear any sound from my Laptop not like Desktop, if RAM problem, there's sound...

Not really, my friend's was just bad... no beep codes or anything.

That day i asked my friend about it, he said maybe the RAM was lossed... anyway thanks
