help

hello all,
i need help. i'm working on teh school's computer and the blue screen of death fell upon me. after i downloaded, ran AdWare, and delted a bunch of useless files.
how do i fix it?? any suggestions would be welcomed....

I would suggest you undelete them. AdAware dosen't remove anything but adware/spyware.

when i boot up it just brings up a blue screen

Does the blue screen say anything? If so, please post it here.

bluscreen is just a blue screen....i can hear the windows loading sound, after that nothing...
how do i run fdisk??? i cant get to the dosprompt?

Did you hit F8 as the box was booting? If not, do that and see if you can possibly get into safe mode.

Have you any idea what files you deleted?

What made you decide that they were useless?

EDIT: Have you got a WIN98 boot disk and/or the WINMe CD?

ok..problem fixed....i hit F8 (accidentally probably) and i logged in on safe mode. i undeleted whatever i had delted, and ran sys restore (twice) after that i had to reboot again, load standard settings for sys setup, and it came back...hallelujah
