can any one tell me how to connect via the adsl modem on the mandrake linux os
well.. i install mandrake linux on a computer, and i don't know how to go on line via adsl account.... the only thing i can find out is the dial-up modem setup
can someone please help me :confused: :confused:

i am using mandrake 9.0
I think its the package "pppoe" that needs to be installed, it may already be on the machine so try..... adsl-setup ........ on the commandline and if its there you will be presented with some questions to answer ... you will be asked your login / password and DNS from memory ... so have these details handy.
If ... adsl-setup ... does nothing you, need to install the pppoe.rpm file, it will be on one of the install CD's.
