I feel your pain. Remember Colorado's fires last year? I am still rewriting disaster plans and many of me mates called in favors as I helped them, grab and run. I now have a backup site 60 miles away, just in case. Expensive though.
Not to detract from the seriousness of what you're facing out there, but they have got to realize that some controlled burns can help prevent this sorta thing from getting so out of hand in the future.
