Hacking is a verb. Meaning it's a word that provides an action. It is what I do when I golf. "Hey Charlie, dude; I am hacking the hell out of the ground with my driver and this damn ball ins't going anywhere."
It's a Zen thing..... Google it..... You'll become Zen-like yourself..... ;)
