This sounds like a homework question for homework? Taking the Cisco Networking Academy :) ?
Anyway you would replace a bridge with a router where you would want to seperate two networks, keeping trafic from one network out unless it is addressed to that network. A bridge forwards all packets, a router however only lets a packet through if it is designated for that network. A router will stop broadcasts where a bridge will not. Using router's in place of bridges helps improve the network by keeping it less congested.
