I've recently got my house networked with a linksys wireless router, and everything is working fine. However, when I use aMSN on my Linux box, and sign out, I still get messages on my other windows xp pro computer even though I'm totally signed off at both locations. What's up with this? Why is it doing that? Thanks. :)
Windows Messenger enabled?
Oh man, didn't even know there was such a thing as windows messenger (haven't used XP much). How do I shut it off? Thanks el-half!
1.Click Start->Settings ->Control Panel
2.Click Administrative Tools
3.Click Services
4.Double click Services Scroll
5.down and highlight "Messenger"
6.Right-click the highlighted line and choose Properties.
7.Click the STOP button.
8.Select Disable or Manual in the Startup Type scroll bar
9.Click OK
