wireless on linux

I have recently thought of buying a osny vaio tr, but I dont know anything about wireless with linux. I was wondering anybody could recomend whcih works best (802.11b/c/g/whatever) and I was just wondeirn ganybodxy could help me. I am going to be running debian on that if that would help.

Does the Viao have built-in wireless or are you looking for suggestions on pcmcia cards?
