How do you become a mod and how much does it pay in U.S. dollars.

You have to be asked by site owners and you get paid in antipoints by the AO community. ;)

To become a mod you have to be asked to. You have to be mature, and you really don't get paid much :). You also have to be around for a while and participate/contribute to the community.
