VGA card
I have a Compaq Presario 705EA, and ever since I bought it it has had a problem when at random time it crashes with a blue screen and a notice. Now I have read the notice fully and it says to change my video adapter (or something like that).
When I went into Device Manager, and "[gloworange]Video Controller (VGA Compatible) [/gloworange]" had a yellow question mark beside it. I tried searching for drivers for it, but I found none. I think that maybe if I can get my Windows XP to run on the VGA card it might not crash any more.
Can you please tell me how to make my computer run on the VGA card?

Thanks for the site, but there are no drivers for VGA. I am in "enable VGA mode" when you press F8 at Windows Startup and my computer hasn't crashed. I still can't find a VGA driver.

VGA mode is a "special" mode that loads a standard driver (used to solve display driver problems). You'll need to boot to normal mode if you need a resolution above 800x600 with more colors. If it crashes in normal mode reinstall the graphics driver (S3 Twister-K graphics driver for win XP on the page I posted).

Thanks I'll download it and tell you if it works!
Thanks again :D
