Searching before you ask a question and learning to RTFM helps...
Nice tutorial Gore. I browsed thru it and it is very accurate and easy to read/understand.
Rajunpl, I would also check out the freebsd web site. You can find alot of information at the web site including the manual, and you can also get support. The web site is located at Freebsd.org.

You only need the first cd , the 2nd cd is a fixit cd which is probably beyond your abilities to use at the moment and uneeded. There is no third cd, only a mini-iso which is the same as the first cd, except it has no packages, only the base install. Personally i just download the mini iso and then get the software from the ftp , but if you are on dialup download the full first cd.
Tutorial by gore is better than the manual itself :)
1 question how do you getinto x windows?
login. Then type startx and hit enter.
You should read the handbookQuote:
file:///usr/share/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/index.html
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO...ook/index.html
The documentation is quite complete and comprehensive.
Thanks muerto and lumpy i am reading handbook.
