telnet error
I was attempting to telnet on one of my LAN server through my other computer, when i was trying to start telnet service on win2kserver it was giving me error:0
it says,
'could not open a connection to host on port 23: connection failed'
then i open a port using ZA still doesn't work ,Is there any easy solution?

Okay, is your other machine running a firewall? (I couldn't understand what you said, but I think you said ZoneAlarm?) If so, allow the connection for your system to connect through. If that doesn't work, make sure there's definitely a telnet server running on that system and (like I said) it's accepting incoming connections. Hope I helped... :)

yeah ZA means zonealarm, I tried it no luck, I even turn off zonealarm on both computer still no luck, but when i telnet my router it open and i was like wow.
Then again only router....not computer, Is there any other formal way?

dumb question ...is the telnet server started?

You can't telnet to the server in order to start the telnet service.
It kinda sounds like that's what you said.
