BEFW11S4 Problems

I have a BEFW11S4 in my basement it is a wireless b linksys router all firmware up to date and it works great except....I built a new computer for in my basement so I wired it and it will not go online! THe cable is fine I have used otehrs and the nic is fine I coudlnt connect with my laptop either.

It sees it but it cannot reslove an ip. I am really confuzed. There are no real security settings for the wired part jsut the wirelessl

Am I missing something? I have already reset it.

EDIT: and set to factory defaults

Dhcp and Nat. Have they been enabled on the router.?

yes they are enabled

I got them both online. THe linksys site said to change the negoation from auto to 10 based half duplex. That fixed it but that would mean that all the computers I try to connect I'd have to set like that, somethin is still wrong?
