Suse 9.1

I'm using suse9.1 , today my friend comes to me with a HDD, I attached it and run "fdisk -l" to know partition infotmation for mounting it,

But when I run "fdisk -l" it initiate a scanning of my second HDD and my system almost get hanged. after some time it show partition infotmation of my Linux HDD only.

but to my wonder when I run Yast it's showing my HDD

tell me guys what I should do now ??

1 more thing my XP is detecting both HDD.

Maybe there are no partitions on it?

Tht hardisk contain Winxp pro and also 2 partitions
