Not enough money...Tsunami
According to the bank that is in charge of the tsunami relief money ( Asian Development Bank ) and Aid Organizers...they need $4.22 billion more. The ADB estimates the reconstruction effort will cost $7.76 billion and only $3.54 billion have been committed...leaving the shortfall.
The Bank insisted that concerns about corruption are being talen seriously and every effort is being made to keep it to a minimum...with their own newly developed accounting system in place. ;)
They say that the shortfall is mostly due to the lack of attention the tsunami has had recently in the news. It is essential that we return to the forefront of the media attention.
