What to do with a 2gb flash drive

I just got my Transend Transflash JF110 2gb thumb drive. I really have no ideaw WTF im gonna do with it. Ideas?

Use as a server? Host some ****? Store music? Store files? Honestly, I dunno what to tell you.. ;)

I have heard people use them as "toolboxes" to hold recovery utilities, AV, anti-malware, bootable distros and the like.

You could also use it for backing up data?

Personally I see no real advantage over a RW DVD, which will hold 4.7Gb.

Im not sure why i bought it, cuz i wanted one lol. Im thinkin bout usin it as a toolbox but the whole thing of them dying scares me. 100,000 cycles :(

Hey oofki chill dude.

That is 100,000 cycles per transistor So, if you update it completely, every day it should still last over 200 years. Remember it is solid state memory, with no moving parts.

Even if they grossly exaggerate and it is only 10,000 cycles that is still 27 years; a hard drive won't last that long :D

They have software that makes sure that all the drive gets used, not just the first part all the time ;)

lmao thanks GUYS. I think ill use it in place of my malware removal cd. "then there was one" I'd still have over a gb left over :-p
