Isn't all advertising bogus anyway? Any merchant who pays
for "clicks" may as well be buying fairy dust. When they realize this
it will be the end of the web as we know it. And that will be a good
thing, IMO.

I just think this is hilarious...

Since IMHO advertising is a scam, the fact advertisers are getting scammed is wonderful..

unfortunately not quite so. Some ad companies did pay users for clicks/views. They paid something like 2 cents a click, 1 cent a view....and they paid up at end of month. The views/clicks had to be from different machines, so refreshing your website every 2 seconds did not get you any extra money :D....but they went out of business very quick ;)
