Driver problem?
I have a Geforce Mx 440 card and have installed the latest drivers from the Nvdia site. I'm now having a problem changing the colour depth from 16 colours to 32 (high colour). And I also have trouble setting the resolution higher than 600 x 800. I set the settings and apply them and it tells me to restart the PC. after i restart it has gone back to 16 colour and 600 x 800 res. Does anyone have an idea why this might be happenin? This is on a windows 98 machine

Try removing your monitor from the device manager. Are you also sure you've installed the correct drivers for your OS?

that's the settings for VGA, so to add to SirDice :
D/L the newest drivers and save them.
Go to device manager and remove the current drivers.
restart
the system should 'see' the new card and then install the latest drivers.
I advise to 'save' the driver and not to 'run' as you are having trouble now.
then let us know how it's gone ................

Ok I uninstalled the graphics and monitor drivers from device manager and it asked me to reboot. After restarting the colour went to high colour and i can now change the resolution. Thanks for the help guys
