Hi Ted~
I studied meteorology and climatology at university......................................fortunately I discovered alcohol and preserved my sanity in it :D
:drink:
xmadness showed me a patent yesterday at unerror irc,
that might be of interest here.

My husband heard about this on the way to work this morning. I thought he'd got it wrong cause he was half asleep or something. Turns out, he got it right. Now I suppose I should apologize to him now.
If it weren't for conspiracy theories, who would the rest of us make fun of?
Strange as it may seem there is a very tenuous precedent to this.
It would not be the first time that Japan has tried to attack America using the weather.
During WWII they tried to send balloons loaded with anthrax across the Pacific using the jetstreams.
:D :drink:

Well you must remember the Russian scientist claimed to be able to create low-pressure cells and a weather treaty was signed I believe.
The US has (HARRP) High Active Auroral Research Project.

They claim to be researching skip etc...... some scientists claim the people have been opening temporary holes in the atmosphere.Quote:
The purpose of the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program is to use active probing techniques to study the physics of the ionosphere.
I've experience skip several times; I've picked up people from several continents with a regular scanner. Russia back in the day had a way to shield their "open-air" transmissions from the US and transmissions leaving the mother land.
Skip:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skip_%28radio%29
skip is something ham radio operators have been using for as long as i can remember. some of then were even very accurate using it, it's quite a science but a very expensive one. CBers where using it in conjunction with liniar amplifiers for a while when citizens band was the rage but none of them change the weather.
it's rather scary to think a treaty was actually signed for something like this. that kind of lends creedance to the whole thing...but i still think its bull.
Hey nihil! you probably dont know who tex antoine was but he was a tv weatherman who was always drunk on the show...sometimes almost falling down. became rather famous for it. maybe you missed your calling!?!
Seriously..... if they know how to do it we know how. I don't think anyone has the nutz to pull that off. I'm sure we have something that detects disturbances abroad. Hell I can pick up a dirtbike leaving asphalt to ground from over a mile away with my geophones. So I know we have something for the air.
Japan......
A little off-topic, this caught my attention: http://weatherwars.info/active_sun.htm
Quote:
Solar torpedoes or a fleet of smaller vessels, and other tools are altering the Sun, and during that process changing the life process within this Solar System.
Totally disagree.Quote:
