I am wondering about this after having a discussion with someone. Apparantly plenty of these internet-scams are related to terrorism groups to sponsor their actions. So now I wonder... Are these claims that major terrorist organisations are behind many of these scams true? Or is this just propaganda in the War against Terrorism?...

Scams are as old as the hills, and the old nugget of 'one born every minute' is as true now as its always been.
scams are criminal activities
Some links to terror groups will always be found, wherever you look.

In this world, even some goverments may encourage some illegal acts and then pretend conducting a massive crackdown on it ... for two resons:Quote:

1- Making people busy with news, keeping them away from political issues.
2- Showing off that they are fighting terrorism. Not a third-party country ....
In Scam case, they will try to show people that they, terrorists, are really trying to destroy anything, i mean just about anything belong to you. This of course breeds hate, and no objections will arise whatever the goverment do, it is as simple as this.
Here am implying that they are innocent, but some exagration does occur.
