So I was sitting around last night thinking what the hell am I gonna do with all this cooking oil I have and my random computer parts. Luckily, I have an answer now.

thats pretty smart but it scares me...excuse me may i borrow 8 gallons of cooking oil im going to open a restaurant.
Neat, although I imagine accessing and using those expansion slots just got a wee bit more complicated.
I love the part were they recommend using engine oil.
Now i've got someplace to put my used oil from the car.
Don't know how well the computer room will smell after 24hours though.. ;)

Saw something similar last year where a German guy put his system in a fish tank and filled it with veg oil. Worked well but started to smell after a few days.
I've seen this kind of submersion cooling with some kind of fluorine liquid..
It was expensive and toxic as hell..
So using cooking oil would make it a lot better..
The main problem with submersion cooling is that you can't also drown the harddisks..
i....i cant even talk right now. its insane the german guys are crazy and this is amazing....my god 5Ghz i cired thats the best thing i read.

You know, I have plenty of skunky beer in my garage that I will just end up throwing out. Maybe I could build something with it....
