ROFL!...:) <3
Hi Thanks
Too bad they didn't play Hockey.... :(
They closed the whole Province of Newfoundland for the day starting at lunch, so everyone could go home and watch the game...There are going to be a slew of really drunk Newf's hitting the roads soon, so the Moose won't even be safe.... :D
*holds back laughter @ curling
*tears up
*can't hold it anymore
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Curling is a man's sport thats for sure.
Ry
It was a great game ! Mike Nichols was flawless. The women's final last night was even better -- won with a tricky double in the tenth end.
Curling gets a bad rap because it not terribly athletic, but its a fascinating game, like chess on ice -- and a perfect winter sport in that much of it comes down to reading the minute peculiarities of the ice surface.
I wish I was in St. John's tonight !!
You gotta have the Rocks to play Curling :p :D
LMAO...so sad that the women's team didnt do as well [/end sarcasm] ....X)
Is curling all in the wrists? Whats the trick to master it? :)Quote:

Hey Ryan,
Am I to understand that like myself, you were unaware that ladies hairdressing was an Olympic sport?
:p :D
Sport isn't all muscle
Nice thought Relyt!
Some athletic competitions are a combination of muscle and brain and now that I am finally "getting the idea how Curling works, I am thoroughly enjoying it. I don't know if I would want to watch the every day players - but watching the best is great.
The planning and execution and teamwork is excellent and I see how people can get caught up in the drama of mind over muscle.
Canadian Men's Curling Team were terrific and I add my congratulations!! The Women's Team did pretty well too.
cheers ;) :D :)
The only thing I could equate it with, would be shuffleboard,(in the taverns) only on ice, there is wrist control but also weight of the stone itself and how much force is required to send it down to the other circle.Quote:
