looking for 1 thing dont understand

i am very much a newbie to all this i am looking for one thing and thats hacking directv i had a friend that use to program my card for me for a couple of years then he said it was dead he couldnt do it anymore that was about 2 years ago i started talking to another friend recently and he told me you can hack directv without a programmer you can do it w/an just your computer so my question is,is that possible and if so how do you do it? THANKS

Hi, Directtv hacking is out as far as i know but if you are into testing boxes and sattelite systems on dishnetwork, please have a search on google for viewsat, it's a great box for testing and so :)
