Any HST fans on AO

As some of you may know, it has been two years to the day since Hunter S. Thompson took his own life... I personally am a huge fan of Thompson's writings... if you have not read any of his books, I would strongly recommend that you do so. If you are a fan, I would suggest at least taking one shot of Wild Turkey in honor of the pioneer of Gonzo Journalism... some of his books include:

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72
Screwjack
Songs of the Doomed
Kingdom of Fear
etc...

can't believe it's been two years already, feels like I just heard about it the other day, /cheers

hard to believe he was 67 too...i wish my grandfather was as open to the world as HST was...

yeah I drank most of a bottle of Wild Turkey... I woke up on the floor several hours later :) ... it is amazing how many documentaries and interviews you can find at google videos... I wish some of the more recent videos had subtitles though *L* ...

i am a huge fan. ask me anything about his writings or him you can learn a lot ... for example:

did you know that he had put up huge gongs in the hills around his property. regularly he would get high on mescaline (hmmm mescaline !!) and shoot at the gongs w/ his smith & wesson 0.50...

can you imagine the echo in the hills
