This is a really really dumb question, but I just can't find it.
Where the hell does IE7 put its temporary files?
Ever since we have installed ie7 users have been able to download and run executables. With IE6 we had a block on the temp directories so that nothing downloaded from the net would run and a similar block on home areas and basically anywhere users have write access to.
Obviously, IE7 stores its downloaded executables in a different location. I'm not thinking "download -> save as" but for "download -> run".
I tried the obvious of searching for a setup that I downloaded myself, no results. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
specific site that I caught today - www.im.com
existing blocks are on:
h:\ (user home)
c:\documents and settings
c:\windows\downloaded installations
c:\windows\downloaded program files
c:\windows\prefetch
c:\windows\temp
c:\winnt\temp
(These are all "at start" matches, so subfolders and other folders with similar names)
