Most of the time you can highlight them individually and hit the delete button. If you want to get all of them go to Tool > internet options> and clear search forums.

What "search bar" are we talking about and what browser and operating system are you using?
in a google search bar for example. windows xp. internet explorer version 7 i think? latest one anyway. but it's ok i finally located cookies on my computer and i'll just regularly delete them. thanks anyway guys :)

It is free, and removes a lot of unwanted stuff from your machine. This should (in theory) help to maintain performance and stability of your machine as well as clearing out some of the "nests of vipers" where malicious programs like to hide ;)

i agree. ccleaner is really good. it even has an option for secure deletion, upto seven passes i think. you should also try
