iirc....MCSE is an outdated certification. They now have a whole new set of letters to add behind people's names all for the sake of confusion and to make people pay for new tests and new letters.
What you go for should reflect the job you'd like to have. Read thru: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microso...d_Professional
(Scroll about half way down that page for a listing of all the popular certs).
If I were to go in the Microsoft direction I'd probably earn MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) or MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician). You might even find MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) helpful. I believe if you earn ANY of the above you can also add "MCP" to your resume - Microsoft Certified Professional.
MCSA and MCDST really look promising.
Jobwise on this?
I was messing around with a keylogger this morning and was actually shocked as I have never played with this type of thing.
I would very much like to go into the security field, I think that will be most interested for my part.
After n+ I will do the Security+ , what comes after that? Any security experts here.
Lots of experience ;)
I agree on that however must I stay at my current company which I basically do technical support for clients. Basic stuff and some customer service related things (user + pass) for our products or do I look for a company which specializes in Security and try get in there?
Personally I was planning to shoot for the CCSA in the coming years, but I doubt I'll be able to put it to use anytime soon. Just practice getting past security in the mean time...it's quite a fun hobby and you learn TONS.
Try experimenting with Backtrack 3 and all of the toys on that disc.
