Microsoft are offering $250,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the Conficker (Downadub) worm.

Wow, ms actually offering a reward. Our AV caught this fairly early though ... well the Dev team who immediately sent out instructions to neutralize it.
I think the point is that this is so widespread and so far hasn't seemed to have done anything much.
People are worried about phase2 and what that might bring.
I must admit that it has me confused as well.............. after all how could you "configure" (whatever the proper term is) a bot army of maybe 15,000,000 without DoSing yourself?
Maybe they are going to sell them off in job lots?
