Back when A&T did this to BSD, it was funny then too, because when BSD won, they made them take out ads for them because "AT&T put some Berkeley code into Unix and didn't put the Licenses in as they should have been so we want them to re-claim every tape they have sent out, put the license in, and then re-distribute them" which was really funny.
Caldera used to have Open Linux, and apparently someone said that some of the stuff they were fighting about was crap they put in themselves. Also, I've seen an email stating that they brought someone in to look at Linux because "There's no way someone made a product this good without stealing something" and that "They were Hoping to find a smoking gun, but couldn't"
