I am still trying to sucker^H^H^H^H^H er... eh... convince my employer into paying for my travel/ticket. :D

We will see what happens.

The Wolfman did tried that 2 years ago. Not a good idea! They were convinced I would be up to no good and almost asked me not to go. Finally one of our senior guys backed me up and told managment it was a good idea.

I was told that for the future it is sometimes easier to do something without asking first.

Maybe it's best to keep quiet?

Heh. Yeah, maybe. I don't mind paying the $75 for the conference, it is just the airfare and hotel that I want them to take care of. :)

Being sponsored by 2600 would of been an interesting event. A lot of ol school faces usually make time for attendance.

they should make these events go Global and service more then just the US.
