Yea gods people don't you no when your being played,
First we have pics in the papers of Iraqis being abused. ( holly cow lets get our troops out of there)
Next we see one of our peeps get his head chopped off. (holly cow lets keep our troups there)
Make you own mind up don't fall for the propergander.
jinxy its not exactly propaganda. We show naked pictures of an Iraqi, and as a retaliation they beheaded someone's son and brother...completely out of perspective. I'm personally very pissed off about the whole thing. Why do we always have to be the ones being nice about everything....they wanna **** with us? 2 can play that game. He wasn't even a soldier, just a civilians working on communication Towers for the CITY...rebuilding their god forsaken cities....and thats what he gets. **** that...I dont buy that ****...anyone who thinks "we "abused" iraqi soldiers, thats what we get" has NO ****ING CLUE. I dont see americans beheading prisoners or dragging them around the city....
That last sentence is what differentiates Americans from "them", Cybr1d... your "call for arms" would get rid of that difference. We don't see Americans beheading prisoners, and please let's keep it that way. No matter how many Americans are beheaded by "them", if Americans do the same thing - even if only once - America would be just as bad as "them"...Quote:

At least an impartial bystander could still make the distinction between the good guys and the bad guys right now...
cybrid - your reaction is exactly what jinxy was on about - your falling for the pro-american propaganda in exactly the same way the people who beheaded one of your citizens fell for the pro-iraqi propaganda - its the media ****ing with your head. Neg's right - at the moment the US can still be seen as the 'good guys' because you haven't (yet?) retaliated.
I appreciate that your pissed off - in some ways I am pissed off about the situation too but in order to maintain the moral high ground you have to take a better stance.
Unless of course we all just admit that we no longer give a **** and hold Armaggedon outdoors this year :D
Umm the rape squades and the people beaten to death...not to mention the snipeing at aid workers and ambulances in my eyes has compleatly blured the lines betwen good guys and bad guys in this war.
I don't normally bring up Limbaugh in my posts, however I must say that Limbaugh made a very valid point yesterday about the entire photo ordeal.

Alot of this article rambles, but the basic gist of the article is that Congress is claiming to be shocked and disturbed by the photos, while at the same time Congress funds photos of a very similar nature and applauds these photos as art under freedom of speech. I don't agree with Limbaugh's assessment, but it does make you stop and think for a minute........You can find numerous examples sites that claim to be genuine "forced rape" sites and "mutilation" sites on the Internet, however the participants are hopefully voluntary, thus a significant distinction between the events that occured in the Iraqi prison.
That being said, if these same photos were compiled and made into a display where a conscientious objector to war followed the mobile vietnam wall display around and set up shop a few feet away at each location; I have no doubt in my mind that Congress would in fact fund the project as freedom of speech display, and would state that the pictures should be considered "artwork," which is a mode of expressing political opposition.
Limbaugh is correct in one aspect here though, with that being that the Liberals essentially want to have their cake and eat it too, where these photos are concerned. If you are outraged and disgusted at one display of smut an abuse, shouldn't you be outraged and disgusted at all similar displays of smut and abuse? This is because the acceptance of the images in everyday society is what erodes away at the morals of are children. Liberals are trying to project sensitivity by being appalled at these photos, while visiting their PORNHOLIO sites and getting their jollies from the very same type of content.
