don't worry, i have and will caution myself; it's amazing at times, what the human mind can accomplish, even mine. however, can you see how our general populis can begin a cycle of destruction by going down this path of thinking? i believe it could be quite easily done, depending on many factors of one person, persons or group. i can tell you this, having been around the world once or twice, i have seen how easy it is to see how a group of people can be easily be persuaded one way or another, and how dangerous that can be for themselves and groups outside of the persuaded group. further, perhaps not framed correctly, as tone for me in electronic communication is hard to effective communicate, but i merely wish to pose the question and observe the responses. finally, there are obviously radical groups or factions of any religion or structure of belief, i should have noted that previously and posed my questions not solely based on one group, my apologies for that. thanks again!

What we are trying to do with Moussaui is to execute him for the exercise of his 5th Amendment rights which were granted him when the decision was made to try him in a civilian court rather than in a military tribunal. The decision to execute is being made on the grounds that he didn't tell his interrogators about the plans for 9/11... Nothing else... That's the argument they are using to fry him.

Sorry... It can't be done... The 5th Amendment clearly states that Moussaui had _no_ requirement to incriminate himself so he had no need to volunteer _any_ information regarding the attacks of 9/11. This is further backed up by the Supreme Court's decision in the Miranda, (sp?), case where they stated that a suspect has no requirement to talk to _anyone_ about anything.

So, folks... You cannot fry Moussaui using the arguments the prosecution are currently doing... and I'm with Rush on this one... I don't care how bad a person Moussaui is - the law is the law and it was the responsibility of the FBI to work out what was going on from the evidence they had... Of course, had they been able to get a warrant to look at his computer it would have all fallen into place quite quickly, but they weren't granted a warrant because he hadn't committed any crimes... We have no-one but ourselves to blame and now we are trying to circumvent the law to do the wrong thing.

After seeing what he has said, mocking a Navy officer who was crying because his/her friend died, and EVERYTHING he's done in court (or said)? No.. sometimes doing the right thing isn't doing the right thing. I agree with you on everything you said concerning the law and whatnot, but no.. fry his ass.

What people are missing with this fella, is he really does want the Jury to bring back the Death Sentence, it is in his interests as a fanatical muslim to die a "Martyr" and get to frolick with 77 Virgins, so if he gets his wish, he will have proven his case against the US.

Myself I believe the worst you can do to someone like this is to find a hole big enough with a grate over it with a lock on it and put him in it, and every now and then, pass him bread and water and force him to watch reruns of the Brady's.... :D

Seriously, to lock him up forever will deny him the opportunity to meet his maker on his terms...

Oh... Let's nit get me wrong here... Give me 5 minutes alone with him and you would save on electricity... But I'm afraid that since we were _stupid_ enough to grant him a civil trial you can't then "omit" the basics of the legal system the country was founded on in order to kill a man... Regardless of how much he might deserve it. If you do you become no better than they want the world to be - adjust the law when it suits you....

Unless he's a citizen of the USA, he HAS no bill of rights to protect himself. But Tiger, you alone with him for 5 minutes, YOU would have those rights in court when you were prosecuted for murder.

He may be in court, but that doesn't make him a citizen of the US.

No wonder so many people "Decide to take the law into their own hands"....

im with Dalak on this. this guy has been doing everything in his power to get the jury to execute him. one last chance to scream allah akbar and claim his virgins and young boys. lock him up with the white brotherhood for the rest of his miserable life

However, I must agree to some extent what you guys are saying. After all, there are things in this world far worse then death.. and locking him up with the white brotherhood (nice choice of words, Tedob1 ;)) would be fairly good enough.
