Well I think I have half of my issues figured out now with WIndows NT server 4 and Windows Server 2003 :D
Very good grasshopper Now all you have to do is take care of the rest of the issues with Windows NT server 4 and Windows Server 2003. and hopefully your server problems will be over. that is untill another one decides to come to the surface.

I'm sure I'll have a problem soon enough.
My next project though after I get everything switced to the 2003 servers is to build a smoothwall box and put it up as a firewall for the companies network.
Well it all a part of the learning process through trial and error. the smoothwall box sounds like it is going to be alot of fun to set up and tweak.

NahI don't think you will and even if you do there is alot of infomation on the web and alot of smart people here on A.O that would help you if you run into any problems.

While you both have alot of posts and the three of us have similar "senority dates". What draws you both to AO? I mean while some posts, as you have admitted are pointless in one way or another. What is it about AO that makes you post so much?
Dopey It's not really the amount that always matters it's the quality. Alot of there posts are ****, but they both also have alot of good posts. Then at the same time. It is something to do at times.
Sense the status's don't matter anymore, it doesn't really matter how many posts they have. IMHO.
It's like having a car but adding stuff to it.
WHen i come home and i dont have nothin to do i go through AO and post osme stuff. I also like the poeple here. Very interesting and smart people, so i always chek what they have to say.

Perhaps you took my question as an "attack". I have read many of each of their posts. I think I negged MemroY once. But I also believe I have giving both postitive AP's a time or two. While AP's aren't the best form of appreciation. Nor do they hold much of a real description of the member. Nor does the status reached by specific posts. Well what draws me to post is simple. I think I might be able to add something to the Conversation. Then there are times that I will just reply to something that a person said. I for one have limited my posting for several reasons. One, because if I had stayed posting like I was once. I would be well above them both and MsM and Tebob. I used to answer every question that I could add one little thing to. I am more common to PM someone now though.
As for what draws me to these boards instead of other boards. That would be the community. In all our problems all the BS we put each other through. It is still a good community. Alot of knowledgeable people and alot of cool people.
Now for the record no, I didn't consider that you were attacking them. I just thought I would reply what I think there reasons are.
Now, I can remember when I had more posts then both of them. But I took about 3 or 4 months off the site, where I would not post much, I come back and they are both above a 1000.
Oh and Congrats on your 175 post.
Theres quite a bit of things that draw me to AO.
I like the community here. I've made serveral friends and its kinda fun to come over here and post in GCC.
I also come here for the expertise that many people have.
Withought the community here at AO, AO wouldn't be AO. lol
Another reason I come here is to help people. Mainly I concentrate on Operating Systems, Hardware, and networking problems.
I do have BS posts, but I still have enough security related posts to still be a senior member.
Needless to say I've also helped quite a bit of people who post their computer problems in GCC.Quote:

To be honest, i joined because of AP's in the first place. Actually i joined for the Downloads Sections way back in 2001 but then i saw some usernames and i checked it out and saw those "AO Senior Members" with a lot of greens and those Jr. members et.c with little or some with a lot of green dots. So i wanted to be one of those Senior guys that looked so cool to me, so i joined and started posting and had 2 red dots. And then i became better and i guess i just got addicted to this place. I know pretty much all of the senior guys, (new and old) and i guess im gonna stay for a while, so you're gonna have to endure me a little bit more.Quote:
