Hi f2b,

That looks just like the Tarantula I had in my teens...I was trying to decide between a Tarantula and a Boa or Python...and decided on a Rainbow Boa...but my brother decided to surprise me with a Tarantula at the sametime...so...I ended up with both.

But...boyyyyyyyyy...did that spider stink...everytime I opened up his cage to take him out...Whewwwwwww! :eek: and I cleaned his cage every week...don't know if it was him or the dead crickets but it wasn't long before I got rid of him.

Eg ;)

EG it was the crickets. I had them for my Butterfly fish and they stink horribly. Thank God I had Piranha in there to clean up lol.

It's been wandering around my Business, usually once the store is open it just goes into hiding.
Haven't had any complaints from Customers about it, It's more of a Mascot and some of the more regular customers call it Sammy the Spider.

Indeed it is, the photo was rather close up, so if looks a lot bigger then it really is.. :D
As as these type of spiders don't inflick a painful bite and if bitten only a slight rash will appear around the bite.
Other then that it's defiantly not deadly..

I think that she is quite beautiful...............but I have always liked them, since I was about 5 years old.

She, is a she (trust me I am a moderator :D ) all decent spiders are female, apart from the **** Sydney Black Funnelweb

I remember as a small boy having spiders as pets.............I managed to prove that you could invoke a Pavlovian reaction in them......................the "pink blob in the sky= freshly swatted fly" :D

Only the Sydney Black Funnelweb and the Brasilian Goliath are aggressive...............the rest are OK if you leave them alone ;)

Sounds ike something someone says when they have never had a Wolf spider jump on them, or someone who's never seen an Aussie brown. Most deadly spider ever.

Biggest we get is a house spider.

Biggest I've seen are not much smaller than your Huntsman (but then they get much bigger don't they).

I'm not a fan. Probably due to being brought up with a mother and sister who were terrified of them. I don't kill them though I like to put them out in the garden. The cats do like to stomp on them though.

There is a program just started on TV here 'I'm a Celebrity get me out of here'. It's shot in an Australian forest. Lots of spider action to torture the 'Z-list' celebs on it.

In the videos section there is one with Paull Burrel in it (Princess Diana's former butler) eating kangaroo bollocks raw. Very funny.

Oh, even better, below that they've got him with his hand in a wall picking out stars for prizes. "What the butler saw". Honestly the funniest thing I've seen on TV ever. You need the sound on though, he blubs his way through it like a toddler.
