ok, this is a moronic thread. there is nothing wrong with your computer, this is a total user error. first of all, be smart enough not to get a virus! dont use outlook express for email, and dont download stuff from "hacker websites". second of all the only reason you can only use 8gb is bc it is windows 95a (fat16), WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU USE THAT ON THIS SYSTEm???? next, just to let you know, that i know you bought a compaq by what you described and the system_sav partition is wonderful if you know how to use it bc you can unzip your DRIVERS without a cd or getting on the net. (hit start run.. c:\cpqs\qria.exe [d: folder #]-[folder name]-[folder name]) it is that easy. what you need to do is get a bootdisk fdisk the mbr 2 or 3 times, then run those blue quickrestore cds that came with your computer and you will be ok, and the next time you are stupid enough to download a virus don't come crying to us. (P.S.- KEEP YOUR VIRUS PROTECTION UP TO DATE, BC I KNOW YOUR COMPUTER CAME WITH MCAFEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
