Personally i prefer 256, without any reason.
ok ok here are some pro's and con's
good thing about having 1 256MB stick compared to 2 128MB sticks is that you can have more space to add another stick...
bad thing.. is if one stick burns or gets damaged.. you loose 256MB of your mem.. compared to having 2 128MB sticks where if one burns.. you still have 128MB left..
but its all up to you... each has its pro's and con's
With the clues of sOnIc, i have a reason to have 256 MB and other reason to don't have, but i'm still think that is better the 256MB stick.
ummm.. yeah.. its really all about personal preference really..
Oh boy you are genius:eek: HAHA.
put it ALL in there:D
Hey shut it up small guy
Just in case you have not noticed this discussion is over, his or her question has been answered. There is no noticeable deferens between 256 or two separate 128 sticks of ram.
some mobo`s dont like syc, buffered, unbuffered ram mixed togther but frequencys dont really matter, but if you run a pc133 beside a pc100, the 133 would run at 100, oh and ive had Pc`s disagreeing with 128 ram, but ran fine with two 64`s, same syc, freq, type, just luck sometimes
keep em crossed
